I know it’s been awhile since I posted, and I’m sorry for that. Unfortunately time tends to get away from me when I’m in classes.
Today I have come prepared, though! I have, for your viewing pleasure, pencils of the first two pages of a six page short tentatively titled “Ghost Hunting Teens” for the time being that I’m doing for my final in my Environments class. It’s a story about teens who hunt ghosts, in case you couldn’t tell. Set in the courtyard and slave quarters of the historic Sorrel-Weed house here in Savannah, although I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve taken certain liberties with the location in question to make it fit my purposes. Hopefully you can still tell what everything is supposed to be.
As always, I would love to hear your thoughts on everything! And for those of you who are interested, the full inked and colored version of the comic will be up by Saturday over at Bikini Bomb, my online compendium of sequential shorts.
Hello hello! Just a quick update to show you the initial sketch and the first color rough for the hibiscus tattoo I’m design for a commissioner. :}
This one is slightly different than I generally work in that I’m doing everything digitally. I generally prefer to start with a physical sketch, but I figured it was worth a shot to just try and get everything done without using any paper at all this time around. I’m eco-friendly!
Here is the initial under drawing:
Which I then colored over! For this piece, I was working on about eleven different layers in Photoshop. Altogether, it’s one of my smaller pieces as far as layers are concerned.
Here is the first color rough:
There’s some stuff about it I’d like to clean and tighten but I wanted to get my client’s opinion on colors first. Hope it’s well received!
Hey all! Super special update for you today. A sneak preview of a panel from my Senior Project, which I will be presenting as a webcomic sometime within the next month or so.
Can’t tell you what’s going on with this particular moment just yet but stay tuned for more!
Just a quick preview of one of the backgrounds I’m doing for Senior Project.
Ta-da! Two of the main characters from my senior project. It’s about underground robot fights. It’s pretty sweet.
The kid in the mask is Peter, the angry girl with the sweet ‘fro is Avery. They don’t care for one another but hang out anyway.
Working on some more prop/character design and streamlining the robot made of tree roots that I posted a picture of awhile back. Robots are some of the most fun things to draw, seriously.
She looks much, much better with the tattoos, methinks.
